Having driven and thoroughly enjoyed three VDP Efi’s with Hella Cruise Control I decided to try and retrofit a standard Hella System to my Rover SD1 Twin Plenum Vitesse.

I sent out an appeal for any help/information via the Rover SD1 Club Magazine and received some useful replies from Jim Robinson, Roger Popp and Craig Williams who helped in various ways.

I then successfully performed the transplant in 1996 and this is my account of how D330 ENH became the first ever "Twin Cruiser", and has worked faultlessly ever since.

If you want to retro-fit Hella Cruise to your Twin Plenum Manual Vitesse and assuming that the transplant originates from a VDP Auto, then the details give the full account including modifications. Retro-fitting a system to a standard Single Plenum is pretty much a straight transplant without the modifications needed for the Twin Plenum.
